"It's hard to give this justice..."
You know, to this very day, I still continue voting up your original Warhammer 40k Tribute since you originally released it two years ago. I loved it beyond compare and still to this day continue to love it beyond compare. I must still watch it once a month because, quite frankly, it touched me immensely.
It was by complete fluke that I saw you finally releasing number 2 and... I must say... it is brilliant. In a sense it is a continuation, but it isn't. This by itself stands alone without your previous works. First and foremost, oh dear lord your artwork has improved immensely compared to two years ago - major kudos for the vast improvements. There is so much going on that truly you need to turn the settings down even with decent computers to give it real justice. I suppose the only real turn-down was that while you gave credits to voice acting I could not hear any, but quite frankly it's not like it needs any.
Sheer brilliance Ron. A true tribute and, I must say, I will be seeing this movie again and again, and voting to continue as time goes on.

Excellent work. As an avid turn-based and ATB RPG fan, I found this game to be very well done. It is incredibly well-detailed, with the smallest of functionality expected in an RPG such as this included in an appropriate manner. Also, the corny and cliche text was very well done. The Reaction system reminds me a lot of Super Mario RPG for the SNES, which is a very good thing. I really like your implementation of it. Defense reactions are more difficult to pull off than Attack reactions, which is entirely appropriate.
In regards to mass commentary with The Dragon - and I direct this to those who are playing - you must begin mastering Nullify Physical and Nullify Magic if you want to keep The Mighty Heroes alive. This means if The Dragon swipes his claw at someone, hit the "A" key just before impact for Nullify Physical, or hit the "S" key if he is about to hit you with a spell for Nullify Magic.
All in all, very well done Pseudolonewolf. I am really looking forward to the next Chapter.

I enjoyed Sword of Orion, however there are a few issues I have.
I've played a number of scrolling shooters, and there are some things that urk me on this one. For one, the power-ups don't pop up when you die - while I can understand it can make things too easy, having even some of the power ups appear after death (not all) would be helpful as killing a boss with Level 1 weaponry is hellish.
Also, the hit detection for your vessel is off. I've clearly skirted shots yet was destroyed. I'm guessing this is either because the hitbox for your ship is too big, or some of the shots are. This may also be because the hitbox surrounds the outside of the shot and not just the inside, causing hit detection to be bigger than it should be (square corners are nasty, so it's common for hitboxes to be only "almost" completely encompassing). This is a bit of a turn-off, as many of us veteran shooters love to skirt and weave shots. I'm also wondering about the hit detection for your own shots - the hitbox for your blaster shots only seem to be on the leading edge as shots that clearly would have hit an enemy as it ran into your shots do not actually hit.
I understand you clearly state the game is in beta - except for what I mentioned above, it was excellent.

Very nice puzzle game, if not a bit short. It's nice you were able to make it easier if you keep failing, however I believe most people hung up from the shiny clones of doom blocking impassable areas and rather liked the camera disorientation and camera rotation. In the future keeping those would be great, even if you fail too much at the higher levels.

As a response to the previous review, I should note that the music you are hearing is _actual_ Warhammer 40,000 music, specifically from the 40K game Chaos Gate.

This has to be one of the most brilliant flash movies I have ever seen on NG, and believe me I've seen many.
The styling of the movie was first-rate, almost as if a "bible" was made for it beforehand. Everything was well thought over.
In this day and age, the story hit home quite significantly. With the concept of "designer babies" possibly becoming a reality in the future, this movie weighed the moral benefits and detriments to a tee.

It is certainly a different aspect in the projection of work compared to other pieces of Flash. To summarize my critique, I'd have to say "I like it." The visual artistry worked well with the monologue and placed a different spin on character dialogue. The writing was impressive since the deeper you interpret the meaning, the more pressing it became. Definitely well paced, making me want to see more.
I can understand some of the negative critique expressed. Since it is developed as a stylized graphic novel, there are differences from what I call the "different projections of work in Flash". Keep in mind in comparison to the mainstream Flash comics and movies, the pacing of Broken Saints is deliberate since the writing is the highlight. This contrasts from the standard fast-pace of other Flash. For what is being shown to the viewer, I find the pacing to be well at hand. Though for some, it might be too slow. Yes, many of you can read a lot faster than what the pacing allows you, however realize that by reading to fast and not developing what is said in your mind during the pacing, you may end up watching it several times. Then again, that's my critique in this piece of critique.

Welcome back McFretN, it's good to see you again. This is by all means one of your best entries yet. I hope to see you flash again.

Very nice work indeed. A tremendous effort on your part.
As for constructive criticism there is a thing or two you can do to "blend" the immersion. For one, when moving between scenes have the music continue instead of restarting again will improve the player's gameplay by not interrupting any momentary thoughts or moods (stop-and-go traffic). Also, when continuing through to another scene, try something like the spacebar to also continue instead of the player taking their hands back and forth from the keyboard and mouse every scene. As for other commentary, well... :)
Fantastic job, I hope to see more from you again.
Cheers.

Great work! It has been years since I last played Earthbound for the SNES. Some of those outtakes were just brilliant - the magic cake made me laugh hoarse. Let's not forget the Mr. Saturns! :)
